I need your help! (movie reactions)

EDIT: Okay, I think I've decided what to do (and it doesn't involve creating another channel!) but I'm gonna keep this up for a bit longer, just in case anyone else wants to say anything. I'll post again in a couple of days once I've figured out the deets. 🤍

So, this is a bit of a random post but I've been thinking about this for a while and figured it might be good to ask those of you that ✨regularly watch movie reactions.✨ So (buckle in!):

My channel's main focus has always been TV show reactions. That's what I mostly watch in my own time (mostly because I haven't watched a lot of movies, hence having a lot to react to!) so that's what I gravitated towards when I started the channel because that's all I knew. The channel is growing at a steady pace and I'm (mostly) happy with the progress - however you'd have to be blind not to realise that movie reactions pretty much always perform better. 🤔

Having looked around at various other channels, I've noticed that those that focus on movie reactions seem to grow SO MUCH FASTER than those that do TV show reactions. I totally get why too both from an algorithm standpoint, and viewer perspective. Example: if you arrive on my channel for the first time because of Shawshank Redemption and subscribe, you'd be equally likely to unsub the minute you see the next couple of vids are TV show reactions you're not interested in. This also tells the algorithm not to push those show reactions as much. I get that this problem really isn't an issue for channels once they've reached a certain size and I feel like if I keep doing what I'm doing now, I will keep growing.

HOWEVER, all of that to say, I've been VAGUELY considering making a separate channel for movie reactions. Nothing would change here - movies would be the same frequency but I'm not sure if it's the best way forward, hence this post!

So I wanted to ask: for those of you who are here for my movie reactions, or who PRIMARILY WATCH MOVIE REACTIONS GENERALLY, what are your thoughts on channels that do both? Do you tend to stick to movie-only channels? Do you know any channels that have separate channels for movies and tv show reactions? Do you not care and just watch what you like and ignore what you don't?

Another option is to shift the focus of the channel while it's growing - maybe add a second movie reaction per week and drop two of the TV show slots on YT (one of which is an extra Orphan Black anyway)? Nothing would stop me from continuing with full-length reactions to shows - it's literally the editing that eats all my time. 🤔
