The Legend of Vox Machina 1x09 full-length reaction
Added 2025-06-17 15:56:02 +0000 UTCFor copyright reasons, full-length reactions don't include the show or movie footage, so you'll need your own copy to watch along with me. Ideally, you'll need two screens or two browser windows. One for the reaction, and the other for the show you're watching. Using your phone is also viable to watch one of them.
As many different streaming services in different countries often play trailers or recaps before the show starts, the easiest way I've found to sync up footage is to find the first RECOGNISABLE frame (ie. not a black screen) of the episode. Don't worry, I'll show you the frame to look for at the beginning of each full-length reaction!
This will be:
β¨The first frame of the opening credits.β¨
OR
β¨The first frame of the cold open.β¨
Once you've found the approximate frame on your copy, pause it. Next, play the reaction and you'll see a countdown timer at the end of the intro and when the show is about to start. Press "play" on your copy when the timer reaches 0:00.
A small (but muted) portion of the show will stay on the screen to allow you to properly sync up your copy if you need to adjust it. The easiest way to eliminate any small discrepancies between the two is to rapidly pause and unpause the video that's ahead until both are running simultaneously.
Note: Some of my older shows might have the first frame after the opening credits.

I did actually wonder whether Pike was away because she couldn't make it to those sessions! I also didn't realise so many recognisable names were in it! π

2025-07-06 09:23:57 +0000 UTCYou mentioned that he sounded like the Hound? Yeah, it was the Hound as the voice actor! And did you recognize Archie from Lost or The Lord of the Rings? Keeper Yennen from Suits or Firefly? How about General Krieg in the first two episodes? Did he sound like any Scottish Time Lords you may know? Even Anders and Delilah are rather famous if you have guesses about them. And just wait for the next seasons! As for the Pike reappearance, if you haven't heard yet Ashley Johnson that plays Pike had to miss a bunch of episodes of the live game as she was on the opposite coast filming a show at the time. Occasionally she could call in via Zoom, so the scene of her destroying a zombie horde was from one of those calls, but the story of why she wasn't around for this entire part of the story is a new adaptation for the show.
