Today i came back to my patreon profile to find a notifaction that says i'm out of patreons terms of use , when i checked my mails i found a mail from team patreon that said an author has filed a copyright infringment report against my work , said author is Kylin3 on nexus mods , I want to make this very clear , i have not taken any assets from kylin3 , all the assets i have used are owned and copyrighted by Larian studios , same as the assets used by kylin3 , i have not unpacked any of kylin3 mods to make any work of mine , as shown in pictures i have edited the larian's 3D asset horns Type E from tiefling females to create my work and i have concept art made just for it , further kylin3 claims i have used assets they OWN , which is completely false as the assets are all owned by larian studios , they have no right to claim anything they have not made themselves , said assets thats being claimed stolen is this " https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/3474/images/8681/8681-1712837643-252996888.jpeg " If you look at the horns you can clearly tell they are just edited assets of " https://bg3.wiki/wiki/File:Stygian_Skewers.webp " , While i do agree they might look similar , i had no intention of doing that nore had any idea such concept already existed , i edited the same file to create the base for the jewellery , i made this public because i'm always transparent in everything i do and done so far , if anyone ever had an issue with my work i would always provide proof of concept , if i had actually "stolen" anything i would have simply taken down my mod and moved on , but this is about sending a message , you do NOT own any of larian's assets , taking said assets into blender and moving them a bit DOES NOT GIVE YOU OWNERSHIP OF SAID ASSET , THAT IS STEALING . i hope you all understand why i'm not as active anymore , i really have no desire most of the time to be social because of people like this in this community , kylin3 i will take this to court if you so wish to desire to go further , i have already sent proof to patreon and refuted all your claims , if you are that deseperate to ruin other modders careers just because you want to feel special then i will not stand for it , you do not have any right to copyright claim anything that was not ORIGINALY MADE BY YOU , i'm sorry to all my patreons for not being active as much but as you clearly see , this is the state of the modding community in bg3 , where everything ends up being a fight for survival . thank you all for being here for me and i promise you all , if any other proof is needed i will PROVIDE IT to prove to all that i have stolen or edited anyones works besides editing larian studios assets themselves and i will always give all rights to such assets to larian .
