I semi agree, yes the manhwa does do a better job at making them look stronger,but you should know especially if you finished that compared to the big picture they are weak but that shouldn’t be used against the story because that’s the point, and it’s why jin woo goes through all he does later in the story. Yes it’s simple and not super in depth but that’s doesn’t make it any less good. Just enjoy what we have because what we have is still great is everybody just shifted their expectations or just stop watching. Since you read the manhwa five years ago imma assume you just forgot the story to call it mid and to act like most of the side characters NEEDED development because you should know that they have little relevance later, yes they could have delved deeper into their characters and that would have separated them from the regular good anime but not focusing on a character who don’t effect the overall plot doesn’t make a story ass, the writer got to where he wanted at the speed he wanted to and the story is great. Everything doesn’t have to be this ground breaking piece of work because MOST shows fail when trying to do some extra shit and either get bashed or not watched. There are outliers but that’s what makes those things Great. So can we just not make the show see worst just cause it’s not the most unique, it has great fights, a cool concept and main character, it’s fun, and it’s super hype and that’s how it will be remembered.
