With that out of the way, let me break down the development plan for you.

It is currently set to run from January 2022 to July 2022. The Phases below will present a clear picture of how Neon Touch will proceed after the final update of Milky Touch goes live.

Phase One - Concept Designing/World Building

February 2022 - March 2022

In this phase, the artist and the team will develop our concept art, from clothing design to weapon and background designs.

And of course, it wouldn't be a Studio Kuma game without amazing and alluring character designs! Those will be created during this time as well.

We will release previews of the artwork regularly. This allows us to share our ideas with you, and get your feedback so that we can improve the aesthetic and feel of the new project.

With each preview, we will add a text block explaining things like the origin of the idea for the design being showcased. This way, our supporters will get a front-row seat to the design process while we build this new world of ours for you to enjoy.

Phase One will not completely end in March. It will extend up to the point when Neon Touch is officially available, possibly after that point. Obviously, there are always new things to design and invent, even after people get their hands on our game. That said, the plan is to have most major designs completed by March 2022.

Phase Two - Manga development/World Building

March 200 - April 2022

Starting March we’ll start drawing the Prologue Manga. It will be a short, eight-page Manga that will serve as a prelude and introduction to the world of Neon Touch. It will not only be an exciting preview of things to come in the new universe, but it will also be our first attempt to do a manga. So, as usual, we’re always pushing the envelope to bring you, folks, something special :)

The plan is to update one page every fifteen days. For example, we’ll update one page on the 2nd of each month and then on the 17th.

Another option will be to just release all eight pages at once after it is completed. We’ll have a poll on this issue.

The release, or end, of the Prologue Manga, leads us right into, you guessed it...

Phase Three - Content development/Game Coding

April 2022 - July 2022

In this phase, the team will be in full-overdrive mode for three months.

By this point, we’ll start writing and editing the script of the first update (needless to say, the first update will be a GIANT update). The artist will bring their talented hands to bear and create all the scenes we planned for our first update. Then the coder will take all the pieces and start bridging them together into an unforgettable experience.

I’ll be releasing teasers for new content as we move through Phase Three. Additional concept designs (if done) will be released during this section as well.

And that is the plan as it stands. Expect a lot of scenes and animations in the initial release :P
