This photoshoot was created especially for my slavic demons project. I visited this place for the first time a year ago and I fell in love with this hidden waterfall. I knew I had to come back and this was a perfect opportunity. I wanted to portray a slavic demon that lives in caves near mountain stream and lure men inside but I'll write a full post about it in a few days.
In Slavic folklore, the rusalka is a typically feminine entity, often malicious toward mankind and frequently associated with water. Folklorists have proposed a variety of origins for the entity, including that they may originally stem from Slavic paganism, where they may have been seen as benevolent spirits.
Oh gods! I am so in love with those photos. It was really worth waking up at 4 am, when the light was still so cold and noone was around.
Love, Erinthul.
