Emberheart

The flames danced in a perfect ring around her, their flickering light casting wild shadows across the trees. Smoke curled into the air, thick and sweet with the scent of burning cedar and sage. At the center stood the witch, eyes glowing brighter than the fire itself.

For a hundred years, her coven had kept the old magic hidden, smothered under fear and silence. But now, the time for hiding was over. She had drawn the circle herself, with blood and salt, calling the fire not to destroy—but to awaken.

Around her, the forest held its breath.

The fire hissed and roared, but did not touch her. She raised her hands and chanted in a language older than the stones beneath her feet. From the smoke, shadows moved—echoes of witches long gone, drawn back by the spell, their eyes empty and watchful.

"See me," she whispered. "Remember who we are."

The circle burned brighter.

I wanted to do a photoshoot like that for a really long time but it always seemed so hard and unachievable. Turned out that with a little bit of help it wasn't so difficult after all and I really love some of the frames. Also I can't lie, that Kiki Rockwel's new album Eldest Daughter Of An Eldest Daughter really gave me the final push I needed! Let me know which pose is your favourite!

Love, Erinthul.

I edit each image separately so I just adjust the light to match my favourite shot :)

Besides, having to change the camera settings, how is the editing process to get consistency from image to image?

These are nice. I hope the hair is fireproof. ;-)

Thank you so much! Your kind words mean the world to me!

Erinthul

you've taken my breath away... proud, proud, proud... beautiful beauty

Ariel

Thank you so much! The lighting was the hardest part because the fire kept changing every second and I had to change the camera settings as well. It was a bit chaotic but I love it!

Erinthul

Thank you kindly!

I love the location and the fire ring is fantastic! It is cool how you got different lighting as the fire changed and I love how the poses help tell the story. For me the favorite pose is #4, there's a power in hw you look at the camera that is thrilling and suits the story well in my opinion.

Fan-tas-tic!

Oh, that's a really interesting take! I like number 8 a lot as well

I’m going to break the rules and say that my favorites are 3 photos combined. I think photos 6, 7, and 8 are the entire story of the shoot. 6 is you first seeing the elder spirits returning, 7 is you welcoming them in, and 8 is the moment of realizing that you are legion, and there’s nothing that can stop you with the coven at your back.
