Yarra Castle lay in ruins, its towers broken and walls smothered in ivy. Beneath it, in a maze of caves, lived something ancient — a demon called the Pale Lady.
She looked like a woman, but wrong: too tall, too still, skin like candle wax, and eyes that never blinked. Her voice could mimic anyone you’d ever loved.
Geralt went seeking her. His sister was dying, and the old stories said the demon could cure anything — for a price.
He found her in the dark, sitting in a pool of silence.
"You want her to live," she said in his sister’s voice.
"I’ll give anything," Geralt whispered.
"Then stay," she said. "Let your voice echo here forever."
He nodded. Her fingers touched his brow, and he was gone — a breath, a memory, a whisper.
Far away, his sister opened her eyes.
And beneath the castle, a new voice joined the weeping.
I am finally back after a short break from the Internet. I was camping for a few days in forest next to a beautiful lake for Kupala Night. I was taking photos that I can't wait to show you and this is a first part. The castle you can see in the last photo is called Ogrodzieniec. It is were an episode of the Witcher was filmed. That's why I chose to use the names in my story.
Hope you'll enjoy this cave trip as much as I did!
Love, Erinthul.
