transitioning form linework to painting is a struggle for me, I guess its because my lines doesn't indicate form properly. Thanks a lot, that was really informative!

Tck is freakin awesome! Yeah, that's just a different approach that emphasizes depth over form, and usually you'll do both to varying degrees. I kinda touch on it around the end of the video talking about heavier weight for outlines and things that overlap (aka things that are closer). I remember Tck has a youtube video about lineweight aswell. He uses the ticker lineweight for things that are more close to us and thus not for the shadow. So it is the opposite of what you said.
