If you guys liked her in this, try checking out the Loretta Lynn biopic, "Coal Miner's Daughter" starring Sissy Spacek... You guys will NOT regret it. She portrays (and sings as) Loretta Lynn. My fav Sissy Spacek movie tbh. 💖💖💖

The curly-haired nice girl Sue and Sue's mother were played by actresses who were actually mother and daughter in real life. The final scene where Sue is having a hysterical breakdown in bed shows genuine emotion from her mom, since Sue's acting in that scene was way more intense than she expected. She even called her daughter by her real name instead of the character's name. Fortunately, the music is loud enough that you can't hear that little mistake.

I rented it in Spring 2004 because I was a nerd in school and got elected as one of the main "Kings" of Winter Formal in Freshman year of High School sort of as a joke. One of the bullies teased that I would have pig's blood spilled on me. I came home from the event and watched this movie. (Btw, this really happened, no joke)
