All the episodes after this one seem to step things up a degree or three, storywise and execution wise. I'm curious to see if you agree. By the way - "leaded vs unleaded" coffee = caffeinated vs decaf. Prue is the only one who drinks regular coffee (strong enough to be referred to as diesel by Piper while under the Truth Spell). Piper and Phoebe drink decaf. Decaf was a thing in the 90s.

2022-12-14 02:20:04 +0000 UTCSpeaking of chemistry, for those that don't listen or watch the podcast, apparently the actor who played Leo was married at the time of filming for season 1 and his wife was VERY jealous of his on screen chemistry with Piper. Leo and Piper's actors have apparently been friends for a while before this and didn't have any off screen sparks but the wife was suspicious anyway. She believed their on screen chemistry was too real to fake. It caused some serious trouble between them 😬😬

In the meantime, we've got the good acting from the 3mains and the sisterly bond to get us through. I feel like they have really wonderful chemistry together.

2022-12-14 01:31:46 +0000 UTCI actually really love the names they came up with, given that the idea was clearly that they should all start with P, I always thought those were cute and not common, yet they roll of the tongue and feel younger and more modern than some other ones like Patricia or Penny, or Peggy etc. Like their names are not common, but also not so much out there that they are straight-up weird. They are also memorable.

The way you rate episodes and storylines so far is completely on par with how the fandom does, so I think this show will grow on you and you'll be genuinely invested in the parts we're all looking forward to. :) I really love next episode, not many fans see it as entertaining so I'm curious about your reaction to that one. ;D

2022-12-13 04:43:38 +0000 UTCI always thought that the part of the episode with the warlock feels very "X-Files"esque, like something they would do in an episode that's not about the aliens. The bad guy is ok, there are much better ones coming this season, but it is a definite improvement on the villains we have seen this season so far. Curiously, season one has 2 villains/monsters/demons that are on my favorites list from all 8 seasons, so I'd say they did actually surprisingly well in that department for the first season.
