omg yes!! I still think it was a great choice to have Abby as a witness bc it makes so much sense why she was there. And it also makes it fathomable why Lucas would believe her. Bc she has not known Dan or Keith before so why would she lie?

2022-12-17 09:58:38 +0000 UTCAll I'll say is this Nathan stuff is leading to a whole lot more seasons to come and tbh his arc is my favorite of the show. His journey from now until a certain point (don't want to spoil when) is written beautifully. There are going to be tough spots here and there in the overall storyline, but where his character goes makes it worth it.

A big part of his character is learning and growing and being the opposite of his father and showing its hard work to change and grow.

In the way beginning he was truly a ass and he has come a long way from who he used to be and has turned his life around. He now cares more then just about basketball as he now has Haley and their son and wants to set a good example to him someday. What he had done was bound to come out at some point no matter what. Him having morals and feeling guilt isnt a bad character trait at all. Plus money being involved when he did the point-shaving makes it more on the illegal end. So he made the right choice.

2022-12-16 11:06:54 +0000 UTCThe story behind Psycho Derek never made much sense to me. I could see that trauma turning him into an overbearing stalker who's obsessed with her, but not sure how it would have turned him into someone who would hurt her and others or a potential killer.

2022-12-16 11:05:17 +0000 UTCOk, 2 things here about the whole Nathan situation: 1) this could've ALWAYS come out, it just needs one person who puts it together and the more succesful Nathan gets, the more people are interested in finding shit out about him (reporters, etc). And yes there is enough evidence to suggest that (his huge medical and electricity bills were paid in cash overnight, he played terrible in his last 3 games without any medical reason, one of the gamblers could come out with the Dante connection, there were witnesses seeing Dante and Bear with Nathan, not to mention why would Dante drive straight into Haley). 2) Nathan had a clear choice - take the easy route out and let him be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his career or take the high road and come clean and hope for the best. Since Nathan has integrity now, he chose the latter.

It will affect his eligibility to play again and does border on illegal due to the gambling aspect because of Dante. This was being investigated at a high level due to Dante and his standing of illegal activities. So while it seems like two points to you an investigator would do their job and investigate lol and find out that Nathan was publicly seen with Dante and Bear, they began to attend his games and those where games where he did not play on par with his normal level, Dante was the one who attempted to hit Nathan with a car after losing money on a Raven's game because Nathan won. All that happened when Nathan had pending hospital, car and house bills that were drowning him in debt then the debt goes away and he gets money in his accounts?? Which is why Lucas said if they really took a look a Nathan it would get bad. Many of the lessons on the show revolve around integrity most of them do, especially this season. Integrity and how the things we do and choices we make matter. Actions have consequences and Nathan, even though he was desperate, took a shortcut and did something unethical and borderline illegal to fix his financial problems.There are consequences to that and this show is highlighting that as a lesson for the character and to their at the time highly teen fan base. When it comes to Nathan confessing that was a huge move for him as a character stepping up and taking responsibility for a situation that he caused.Again integrity.

Wouldn't send a very good message if not. Everyone makes mistakes. That's a theme of the show, but it's also about learning from them, and then growing. The Nathan stuff makes sense, especially considering the bigger picture. Sweeping this under the rug would be too easy. What's to learn from that.

2022-12-16 02:38:53 +0000 UTCNot sure why u get so angry over characters making decisions based on the fact that they have grown as characters and have morals. Nathan's a much better person that he use to be, so he's turning himself in coz it's the right thing to do 🤷🏻♀️
