2022-12-20 03:34:28 +0000 UTCI think most people who follow the show were bummed on first viewing, about Ted and Alexis not getting together. But for me (and, as far as I can tell, others), on further reflection it's kind of a wonderful development for her that she can see that what she wants would not be good for him, and vice versa. And that she can lovingly suggest that they follow their separate paths, and that they helped each other get to this point of success for them both (which is true, I think). That's a really lovely line for her. I do like that this series' idea of a happy ending doesn't mean getting everyone neatly paired off -- there are good conclusions that aren't romantic couplings. [It's certainly not about Ted getting another show! -- this season was planned as the final one, so everyone can book other jobs after it ends.]
