LMAO how did you miss the part where Melinda said any power of a good witch used against Matthew is no longer effective on him after he copies the power?? How did you not understand that that's why Melinda and Piper couldn't use their powers against him?? Imagine Piper freezing him right away when he shows up. He now has all 3 and becomes unstoppable to them. Her freeze wears off within seconds, and Prue isn't even there yet with the feather. And now, he has copied all 3 powers so none of them work on him. NOW WHAT?? How do they curse him now?? LMAO. Speaking of "things that annoyed the shit out of me." Sigh.

2022-12-22 11:43:19 +0000 UTCThe powers thing was explained in detail in the episode, you missed it. Once he copied the power, that power doesn't work on him. Also, Piper can't freeze him - at the start of an episode, Mathew said in his "exposition" that he copies the power when it is used on him. So as long as Piper doesn't use her power on him, he can't copy it, and that's the only power left that he needs, and once he has all three, he is basically unstoppable. They literally had to wait till they had the curse ready to be able to freeze and curse him. So, anyway... Not my favorite episode. The villain was corny, the story was ok. Was nice to meet Melinda, and we learn a little more about their ancestry and magic. I also liked the new change in the dynamic between Andy and the sisters, makes things more interesting and raises stakes.

2022-12-22 07:48:06 +0000 UTCMelinda tells the girls that once Matthew copies a power he is then immune to the power. So Melinda or any of the sisters using their powers against him wouldn't work it is why she said he would be impossible to vanquish if he got all three powers.
