The actors are so good. I always feel bad for the fact they never broke out, cause they're some of the best kid actors ever. They should have all been comedy movie stars. And I always used so many of the tips when i got into middle school.

2023-08-05 19:57:50 +0000 UTCtrue!! also lizzie mcguire and wren in even stevens were also in 8th grade and louis from even stevens was in 7th. also there's a big difference in the maturity level of girls vs. boys in middle school. or at least back in my day (around the time these shows were airing), girls had to be "young ladies" and be on their "best behavior." boys could cut up and act silly and it was perfectly fine. so in middle school you had girls that were 13-14 acting (or trying to anyway) like they were 16-17 and the boys were over here acting like 10-11 because they were allowed to. so i think the ages make perfect sense to me. i adore raven and this is not a dig at her, it's actually what i love about her character, but she's very immature and silly (as she should be at the age she is) so i don't really see why it's unreasonable for her to be 13-14. as a girl who was about that age when it aired, she was realistic to me and i could see my friend group in her. also maybe this is TMI but....i kind of had a similar body type of raven as a young teenager/pre-teen and so seeing a character about my age who looked more like my body type was really comforting. i never thought she seemed too old (maturity wise, physicality wise, etc) to be playing 8th grade.

That’s so a raven is 13-14 in grade 8 for the first season Think like Emma, manny, jt & Toby & others in season 2 degrassi they are in grade 8 as well Ned’s in 6th grade in season one so they’re all about 11
