2024-07-24 02:07:42 +0000 UTCSeason 1 of Drake and Josh is definitely their weakest season, its only like six eps long, cuz I think they weren't sure if the show would get picked up or not, but Dan really liked Drake and Josh's chemistry so they filmed season 1 anyway. Season 2 and onwards is straight fire, Drake and Josh was Nicks best sitcom (incomparable imo).

2023-08-11 11:08:22 +0000 UTCyes!!! i mentioned in my comment they feel a lot like the duo from the carol burnett show and i highly recommend steven watch "the dentist" skit from that. it's on youtube and you can kinda see the comedy that they take inspiration from. something firm 50+ years ago and it still feels like it's something that could have been made today.

This show was known for its multitude of skits which included a lot of, as you can guess, slapstick comedy. Drake & Josh, the show, was actually based AROUND the actors Drake Bell and Josh Peck & their buddy-buddy comedy, so Dan pretty much used their strengths from the Amanda show. FUN FACT: Iβm pretty sure you know this, but I wanted to clarify. As I said Drake and Josh met in the Amanda show. A Nickelodeon Executive Producer was so impressed with a shrimp skit they did β which was completely improved making it more impressive β that he convinced them to make a show based off those two specially. They were suppose the be the βnewβ Kenan and Kel. ALSO, the mother (Nancy Sullivan) was a part of the Amanda show as well, so they 3 of them had all worked together in the past.
