What Derek is trying to make Scott say to Allison is that her mother was trying to kill Scott which then led to Derek biting her so she could stop. So it wasn't Derek's entire fault because her mom was the one who set everything in motion. Like you also mentioned she could have lived a semi-normal life as a werewolf but their code didn't allow her to make that her reality. It also explains why Allison's father was so angry in last season's finale at the fact that his dad decided to get bitten to become a werewolf because of his illness but then was very much agreeing to killing Allison's mom because she was turning.. very hypocritical.

2023-08-21 23:36:11 +0000 UTCI like a lot of things about this episode but I think one of the coolest things is getting to see a bit more about Dr Deaton and his knowledge getting put to use. This season is SO good and I'm thrilled to see it slowly building the storyline.
