Chloe’s mom was never “crazy”, she’s been in a catatonic state for a long time. We’ve known that for a couple of seasons. But we’ve never known why she was catatonic until this episode. It was her meteor powers that did it to her. That’s why at the end when she was staring off into the sky and not moving she’s showing signs of slipping back into that state. I believe that your confusion comes from the fact that you seem to have thought she was crazy all of these years when she wasn’t. She was just catatonic. Also, it was so fun to see the legend, Lynda Carter as Chloe’s mom. The original TV Wonder Woman.

2022-12-24 21:45:43 +0000 UTCI think Lex's endgame was to force Lana into marrying him. He knew a pregnancy would put tremendous pressure on her. We've seen from the murder on the wedding, he'd do almost anything to possess her. The fake pregnancy reveal was such a shock to me. I had suspected maybe he had messed with her birth control so she'd get pregnant, but the fact that he faked the whole thing, dosed her with hormones, put her through the trauma of an unplanned pregnancy and then a miscarriage, was just such a violation of someone he supposedly loved.

2022-12-24 18:12:33 +0000 UTCChloe and Clark found out about her mom from the file Chloe stole from Lex at the start of the episode. Before this she didn't know about her moms power at all. No, her mom wasn't crazy... Lex even said in the fist scene with Linda Carter/Chloes' mom, that her power was putting her into a catatonic state and Lex's drug brought her out of it. Also, PROGENY: a descendant of a person... a child of someone, usually referring to a child with a "gift".
