2023-01-19 01:54:29 +0000 UTCThey took spores out of the show because the creator realized for a show it wasn't realistic and it would restrict the characters to wearing masks pretty much all the time for continuity which they didn't want to do. Neil instead decided tendrils which were the live fungi is how infection is spread. Nana had the tendrils in her mouth at the beginning.

2023-01-18 20:28:44 +0000 UTCAs someone who's played the games 4 times myself, I have been so excited for this for SO long. And they seem to be nailing it. I love the added bits (the prologue from 1968 for example). It's still incredibly faithful to the game. Ahhh, I want more.
