Don't forget Clarke was the one to originally propose the idea of sharing the bunker equally, going so far as to try to usurp the Commander role to force them into it. The grounders refused and instead chose to fight. They were perfectly okay with letting every clan other than the winner die. They didn't give a fuck. Gotta side with Clarke on this one.

Also, I don't think you're supposed to like Clarke and they've never told us she's a good fighter. Commander of death has nothing to do with her ability to fight. It's just a superstitious title because she keeps pulling levers that cause genocide. Clarke pulling levers that determine the survival of people is actually an interesting connection to the trolley problem. People around Clarke hold her up on a pedestal but also tear her down for the choices she makes on it. Raven pushed Clarke to make the 100 list over and over and then when she actually did it, everyone turned on her. If Raven wanted the list so bad, why didn't Raven make it? Or why didn't she ask someone else? Kane? Abby? Bellamy? They put Clarke in the position to be their great hero and then are upset when she actually makes choices. I don't think you're supposed to agree with or like Clarke but she does get an unbalanced amount of the blame for the things she's either asked to do or does with other leaders. Clarke, Raven, and Jasper are the ones that make the ring of fire at the dropship burning all the grounders but it's Clarke who is at fault. Monty reverses the airflow to bring radiation in and Clarke and Bellamy pull the lever in Mount Weather but it's only Clarke that gets the blame. Jasper barely blames Bellamy even though they shared an equal role. Jaha and Clarke take the bunker but it's Clarke's fault? He's a former elected leader with years more experience than her and is more popular than her with their people for creating the lottery. Should they not get equal blame? Or is Clarke held to a higher standard?
