After I spent all of that time ragging on Melissa, I will say that she reacted perfectly normally for the situation. Spencer didn't really have more to say other than that she wasn't texting her. She didn't have a defense because she had no idea how she got the phone. Now imagine that your sister you're trying to reconcile with has the phone of your dead husband. What else was Melissa supposed to think?

Spencer is willing to put together a funeral of the guy that groomed her and then tried to murder her and she was basically seen as a liar and a whore by her family. Her mother OWED that apology to her, because even if Ian didn't kill Alison, Spencer was still right about the kind of person he was. Melissa is grieving, I get it, but she married a horrible person who caused harm to her sister and still chose him over her. Spencer was super supportive considering all of that. And I still disagree with your theory on what Ian meant because Melissa knew that Ian kissed and dated Spencer, who was also underaged. She didn't care and she hated Spencer for it. Perhaps, she might have cared that Ian cheated on her and he was trying to protect himself from that. I also didn't remember Ashley's relationship with her father very much. I like getting those details tbh. There is more to the Mike situation, I think.
