Literally no one wanted the Xander/Willow thing. I think I read somewhere that Joss Whedon made this happen because there were fans that harped on him quite a bit about Xander/Willow and he made it happen to show them how truly terrible it would be. And it worked. But now we must all suffer by watching it. Xander doesn't deserve Cordelia tbh. And right now, Willow doesn't deserve Oz, either. Feels like they should have explored Xander/Willow earlier on rather than now. It literally came out of nowhere and doesn't fit where Willow stands with Oz.
