That is in fact Jane Levy singing in the opening song, when she got cast in the show I had heard her sing in a comedy sitcom, Suburgatory, so I knew she could sing. When the first episode aired and the story was about her seeing other people sing to her, I thought, I know she can sing, is she not going to be singing in the show, how's that going to work, then this opening sequence happened and I thought Ah, so that's how were going to let everyone know she can sing too.
