I think a possible sad but likely reasoning for a "spinoff" basically being the same show is to avoid paying the cast more: Former Disney Channel stars in podcasts have revealed that they get contracted for 3-4 years, then after that new contracts have to be negotiated. With a "brand new show" they have an excuse to sign them to a new contract with no pay increase since they're technically starting over On the topics of spinoff, there was a potential of an Arwin one with Selena Gomez. She filmed the pilot for that and original Wizards pilot at the same time, and Disney picked Wizards

2023-03-25 09:28:34 +0000 UTCI agree this is not Zack and Cody's best episode to be honest I think it's their worst episode on the show but I do agree that at least in this episode The high School musical girls and Brenda songs did amazing the only thing that ruined it for me was the nun I get it it's funny but I see so many TV shows where the person that supposed to get in trouble don't get in trouble and that's basically London in a nutshell for this episode I hate when that happens in general where you get in trouble when you didn't do nothing when you're trying to stop someone else from doing trouble you get in trouble and they get off

Like, I get that the show is about Zack and Cody shenanigans in the hotel, but this felt totally out of left field and obviously they were punished, but it still felt out of place. Kind of reminded me of the Smart and Smarterer episode in that way, but this was worse in my opinion. This episode aired in March 2006 and High School Musical had aired in January. So, they were probably being filmed around the same time!
