i think after this many seasons and how vocal the fandom is/was at this time, that the writers did little things "for" fans. like this reveal seems to be instead of some big thing, more of a confirmation like "YES!!! you guys got it!!" i enjoy when writers can have fun with their fandom they're writing for and vice versa. it's what make the whole concept of "fandom" unique.

2023-03-29 20:51:05 +0000 UTCI think you might be overestimating how much of a "reveal" this was. It was already suspected in the show itself, and many fans never stopped thinking it was Chuck. This wasn't a reveal but more of a cool confirmation from the fans perspective. So instead we get an interesting and somewhat emotional dive into who he really his, his doubts, and how he comes to change his mind from a character who has learnt lessons the hard way.
