Shawn and Corey are hands down one of the best bromances written in TV history (the only one to top it is Chandler and Joey imo). Shawn centric episodes really lets their dynamic shine

2023-03-30 04:50:17 +0000 UTCThat last scene with Cory, Shawn and Turner is so good! I mean, first Cory's speech. The whole "You belong here then I belong here" thing is just one of my favourite moments. And then Turner arriving and chasing Harley and Joey off. And his speech to Shawn too. The way Shawn's voice kinda wavered when he asked Turner if he thought he was all right. And then Cory asking if he really thinks Shawn will be okay, and Turner's response. Him saying "Sure" really hurt. Because he's an adult, he's trying to protect Cory from the fact that it IS unfortunately very possible that he won't be. I think he believed he would be, he knew Cory would be there for him, he knew he would be there for him, he knew that Shawn had many people who would be there for him, and also he knows Shawn at this point and can see that he IS a good kid. But he also knows he's got his issues and that it's very possible that he could end up not okay. He was worried, and it's really sad. I also love Turner confronting Harley and telling him to stay away from Shawn. It really shows how much he cares. Yeah, Harley was recast for this episode. Danny McNulty was having mental health issues at the time. And they of course kinda needed him for the episode, for there to be someone for Shawn to be hanging out with as a bad influence.
