Although it took me too long to recognize the lead actress, I didn't realize until I had mostly finished the first season that she was Vickie, Robin's crush in Stranger Things.

2023-03-31 07:17:31 +0000 UTCThis is a great character driven show and agree it gets better after the pilot. The episodes are about 40 minutes going forward. Thanks to whoever requested it and let’s hope it continues. It’s only 27 episodes so not long either to pick up to the end.

2023-03-31 06:37:02 +0000 UTCIm so glad you enjoyed this episode!!! The pilot is actually my least favorite episode and yet it's amazing, the show only gets better from here!! Anne is a lot but I am glad you can understand why she is the way that she is. Also, this show is truly for anyone of any age, it's just incredible. I would say this may be the slowest episode since it is introducing the town and characters and is very long, but it definitely picks up and the episodes are shorter.

2023-03-31 02:49:39 +0000 UTCsome background: anne of green gables was a book written very long ago that generations of girls have been brought up reading and loving. anne was very spunky, very outspoken, and very odd. she was relatable to so many of us growing up and is a beloved character for so many. there was a tv series in the 80s that spanned into the 90s about anne of green gables and this show is based on both those things. the 80s one is the one that's beloved by me personally but i'll give this one a chance. you should definitely read up a little on the history of anne of green gables though! it's worth the research to look into the story and what makes it so beloved. there's also very specific scenes in the book and the series that are very well known and very beloved. one in particular involves a boy and a slate :) looking forward to watching this episode with you
