Do You Watch?

So I’m just asking the community once again like I tend to do just to make sure Brian is doing the shows you are watching.
I know certain shows people fall off of after a certain season so just checking.
So there’s been a good amount of love with the Shows Brian has been doing for the Reaction Request and the numbers for those are pretty good for the high tiers so I just wanted to make sure his current rotation shows still get love.

2023-04-24 23:47:27 +0000 UTCooh i forgot that was who ben was. i remember bengate. it was right around that time i stopped watching. i couldn't put my finger on why i did but now looking back it was at that time and i got very jaded with us all defending emily and trying to explain why ben was in the wrong, only for it to go ignored each time.

2023-04-24 23:14:08 +0000 UTCThe instance I refer to as “Bengate” was one of his first reactions to the show where Ben tried to sexually assault Emily and Brian’s reaction was to feel bad for Ben because Emily broke up with him. We were understandably upset and sounded off in the comments. He ended up addressing it a couple of episodes later, I think.

2023-04-24 04:43:47 +0000 UTCmy memory is drawing a blank on what bengate was but yes, it seems like comments are very encouraged but then they go unaddressed. or someone will give feedback like "oh, this name is pronounced ___" and it seems like the comment was never even seen. just some more engagement in that regard would be nice. i'm going to try to be better about my own comments and engagement and maybe it'll help others hop on board and engage too. stephen's shows seem to do faily well engagement-wise with comments and likes. it's definitely tapiered off a bit in some regard but there's definitely a difference between engagement with his videos and engagement with brian's. brian does such a good job at doing recaps of shows in his intros, it might be nice for him to include "responding" or just bringing up a few things mentioned in the comments at that time. for example, boy meets world hit a huge turning point and several comments mentioned that this is when the show starts to get serious. a little mention in the intro of the next episode of like, "some of you mentioned this is when the show takes a turn and i'm so excited to see what that means and where it goes from here!" would be helpful just for us as viewers to know that our comments are seen and read.

But at same time it’s hard to discuss things as we’ve all seen it and we’re not chatting about it with Brian since he doesn’t respond to the comments for his vids, so not much for us to say that isn’t future spoilers.

Sometimes I genuinely don't have anything to say (say, for a sitcom reaction) but it is interesting that Brian's videos especially encourage engagement, but there is never any follow-up with it. This has been brought up before, of course, and it has only been addressed in extreme situations, (like Bengate 2k22) but it would be helpful for more consistent interaction, not just for us, but also so there is a basic understanding of the episode's plot because enough misunderstandings can lead to a total misread of an entire scene or episode, or character even. Granted, there are, of course, multiple ways to consume a show and understand a character, etc., but sometimes there are genuine moments of confusion that if compounded, can lead to not understanding major plot points and reveals.

2023-04-23 22:35:38 +0000 UTCmito, that's exactly how i feel!! when i first started with this patreon ages ago there were so many comments and discussions of people who'd seen the show before and first timers. heck even the office would get 10-15 comments from people. with brian's shows, i've seen all them so many times and the fun would be for me to watch with him sure but also be able to interact. i feel like there's no interaction there. and like you mentioned he'll say let him know in the comments about something but then it's never addressed. or he'll misunderstand something and someone will correct but the mistake will continue. it makes it seem like he doesn't read the comments so it feels kind of like well why leave them? at the height of my being a patreon here even psych and the office would get so many comments and discussions. and some of brian's shows used to get that but then they fell to the wayside. it's just too bad. i'll try to comment more myself but sometimes it feels like if no one is going to see it or interact with it, be it brian or other patreons, why bother. but it makes me sad to scroll through and see his videos in particular have no comments or very few likes. maybe just some feedback for them would be more engagement from brian. this isn't meant to be any kind of hate or downer on them but rather just what i've noticed and as a viewer would prefer things to be a bit different regarding

2023-04-23 09:16:14 +0000 UTCi think one of the issue is brians shows get no posts from geekednation. since it seems Steven runs this, only he may respond to his own shows, meanwhile all of brians shows get no reactions from him in the comments. idk if he is just not able to login to comment. but when he says to comment and let him know stuff, and we never see him comment in his posts, it makes us viewers not care about the comments section cause he doesnt discuss back with us. Maybe this is why Steven thinks some of Brian’s shows are losing interest, seeing no comments but that’d be a easy fix is Brian can respond and interact in comments for his shows, that’d get more people into his

2023-04-23 04:32:47 +0000 UTCi used to watch a lot of these but fell off from watching. honestly half the fun of watching an episode like this for me is commenting and discussing it with others. but lately new girl and PLL don't get any comments at all, and for PLL youd think it'd be full of comments and theories and discussions. i've seen PLL too many times tbh. if i'm going to watch it for yet another time i'd want to discuss it with others and hear theories etc. but that's just where i'm coming from. with new girl, i've seen it so many times too that i just sort of fell off with the reactions. i'm keeping up with boy meets world though and enjoy that one a lot. i'd love to see brian react to something like superstore or parks and recs someday. that'd be fun!!

Liars has been fairly good with keeping close to 7 days between eps, till just recently, but dawson a lot of time seems to be a 10 day cycle a lot of the time. Not often is it 7-8. Just wish Dawson could be a more consistent release weekly like other shows are
