It’s only got 7 more episodes and they’re super short. It’ll probably give you the same heartwarming joy you got from schitts creek, although the second season will be a bit darker with some mental health topics.

And that first HI with Nick...omg, every single time I watch this show it's like the first time. They give me butterflies. Also, in case you didn't know Steven, Heartstopper is a webcomic that is written and illustrated by Alice Oseman, who also writes the scripts for every episode of the show. I highly recommend checking out the webcomic. It's free on tapas or tumblr. The leaves graphics is directly from the comics and the shots of each scene cutting away, most clearly the very first scene of the show where we see Charlie, is made to look like comic book panels. Yeah, Ben sucks more than you know. His actor is super sweet and he's said on more than one occasion that he'd like to punch his own character in the face. This show is VERY inclusive. Isaac is confirmed by Alice Oseman to be aroace (LIKE ME - and Alice herself!!!!!) and Elle is played by a trans actress!!! Even Nick and Charlie are played by queer actors! Also, Elle requested to transfer to Higgs. It's not specifically mentioned in the show, just the comics, that she was massively bullied a lot and kept getting into trouble for dressing like a girl (long hair, etc.). Pretty amazing of the girls' school to accept her tbh, especially when there's a transphobic teacher who's not going to help her when she's getting bullied... Yeah, Tori (Charlie's sister) is pretty beloved. She's pretty cool. She does kinda remind me of Zooey Deschanel too! But another reactor said she looked like the ghost from the Ring and now I can't unsee it. Charlie IS mega cool!! Tao makes it seem like no one likes them but Charlie's so cool! He's super smart too! He's somehow a cool nerd lol. Also, Elle doesn't want to go back to the old school. She just misses her friends since she hasn't made any at Higgs yet. And Tao misses her a lot too. That rugby montage doesn't portray the way Charlie is usually treated by his schoolmates. If you remember, when Charlie was about to go into the locker room for the first time, he overheard the other guys against Nick's idea of getting Charlie to join the team cuz he's gay so he can't know sports. And YEAH!! That is our queen Olivia Colman from Broadchurch making a cameo as Nick's mum. She's a British treasure. Hopefully you'll continue this show. Only 7 more episodes to go. This show doesn't follow the norm for other romcoms, especially not teen ones. It's a complete breath of fresh air. You seemed like you really enjoyed it, too, so I hope you do get around to it. Season 2 is dropping Aug 3rd and, again, 8 episodes long. Super short but they manage to pack a lot into these 20-25mins long episodes by completely eliminating all the unnecessary drama other teen shows love. It gets darker in other ways. Here's hoping you pick this show up 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hopefully you get to react to this whole season as it's only 8 short episodes long. You do have to pay attention to the screen though. Lots of graphics and text messages that explain lots of what's going on rather than dialogue.
