I don't care about Ruby either, her relationship with Lavon is meh as you said. As for Wade: I think he always wanted to keep it casual with Zoe bc he knows she still is not entirely over George and he doesn't wanna get his heart broken even though he clearly is fully invested.

2023-05-18 15:42:11 +0000 UTCAh, Zoe is great at putting her foot in it with Wade pretty consistently. He really wears his heart on his sleeve and it's irritating that Zoe never ever sees it. We all knew what he was really asking at the end there and of course it went right over her head. He was so disappointed with her reaction. Poor Wade. I do love that he wants more and that he is realizing he actually deserves more. Yeah the Ruby/Lavon stuff is meh to me as well. The plan is stupid and like you said we have nothing invested in this character or her relationship with Lavon. Its so half baked. Lavon also deserves better than someone who doesn't really want to stick around. I would have liked her a lot better if she had actually taken her own advice and bounced.
