Almost all addicts relapse at least once, but they still recover. So for someone like House and everything he goes through, it would be unrealistic to expect for him of all people to go on with 0 relapses. But I kinda get Cuddy too, she puts up with a lot from House, she just can't deal with addict version of him on top of everything else, guess she lost faith in him.
