i always liked this episode because it confuses people, mostly i feel like im in on the joke, this is your best reaction because its so confusing haha, and the song is a banger

Jean, but in Jean

So I was born in 1996 and I watched saved by the bell early in the morning and late at nighg, but my favorite reference is the dancing lobsters which is from the Amanda show (Amanda bynes) ... But other than that this episode always bothered me, I thought it was dumb.

Well its kind of the point its an April fools episode its not supposed to make any sense and its supposed to be weird. Also you didn’t notice Trinas singing, shes amazing!

Raquel Perodin

i think this ep was trying to bank of the success for the icarly april fools episode which is really really good. this one fell flat a bit tho, especially compared to that one

People who like the show would generally like surreal, so even not fully getting some of the references wouldn't be a big issue. Most of Dan Schneiders shows had a lot of it, but this episode goes for it harder than normal (at least for a normal Victorious episode), and is just completely about random references and scenes. If you don't really like that kind of thing it's not going to appeal even slightly, but you can't really judge it on that basis.

GSN now THAT is a throwback lol

Yup, as folks mentioned, this is just a nonsensical ridiculous episode that just relishes in the weird! For reference, I felt a bit too old to be watching this, when it was airing, and I would have been around 14 when this episode aired for the first time. But also, Saved By The Bell was in syndication and would play on the same channel late at night/early in the morning, so more people than you think might get the Mr. Belding reference! I was also just a weird kid, but there was a channel called the Game Show Network that was just dedicated to playing game shows all day and I got familiar with the match game then! You couldn’t pay me to remember any of the celebrity names, but the styling and voices alone, made a perfect callback to the show! Basically this episode is camp! And I genuinely believe that it’s the closest thing to camp I’ve seen in children’s television lol

I Am Not Chamari

No offense but I was born in 1997 and I know exactly who Mr belding was at age 13 some kids probably watched it on cable before school because that's how I watched it and knew about it before Netflix came out and then I saw the full spectrum of every episode and I agreed the lobster spanking Tori was weird

This episode is considered to be non-canon. There's an April Fools Day episode of iCarly just like this. None of it is supposed to make any sense! Also, the dancing lobster is from The Amanda Show, one of Dan Schneider's previous shows.

Susanna

That's the dancing lobster from the Amanda byne show

Andre Henderson

this is basically an april fools episode, its just a big joke for the viewers. nothing is supposed to make sense lol. btw the episode title is wrong!
