Most often the female lead in romcoms has a nice but forgettable boyfriend that then gets tossed aside for the "true love". Sometimes the male lead has a shrew girlfriend that you'll be glad he gets rid off.

2023-06-21 14:43:51 +0000 UTCPersonally, I like the "sequel" better. It's not a real sequel, but a romcom also starring Tom and Meg, called "You've Got Mail". The plot is insofar similar as all romcoms are somewhat similar. The spare boyfriend of this one here, Bill "today we celebrate our Independence Day" Pullmann is the romcom lead of another favorite of mine, "While You Were Sleeping"

2023-06-19 06:09:20 +0000 UTCThis movie has always been a favorite of mine. Yes it was cheesy but it was supposed to be. They kind of exaggerate throughout the movie how little chemistry Annie and Walter have, but I did still feel sorry for him and I’m glad they made him likable in that last scene. I totally agree about loving that house.
