2023-07-19 01:37:21 +0000 UTCI know you are saying it's just one dude, but it's one psychotic dude with a razor sharp weapon who is strong, violent, and doesn't have any other thought than killing. You are one second away from dead in that situation. Maybe to save someone as he is already distracted, but which of your friends are you willing to let be the one that dies while you tackle the crazy guy to stop them? Maybe more than one even? Maybe yourself?

2023-06-20 17:30:07 +0000 UTCim fine with the core 4 surviving this movie, as long as one of them dies in the next one. they cant ALL keep escaping death and surviving multiple stabbings every film. hell, even in the original trilogy we lost randy in the second movie. also, i love how scream 3 is so bad that you completely forgot that there was only one killer in that movie lol. but yes, he was the only solo ghostface in the whole franchise (so far).

2023-06-19 17:21:09 +0000 UTCI don’t know if I’m going to be the only one to say this, but I love Mindy 😭😭 She’s certainly the Randy of the group, but they’re characterizing herdifferently on purpose, I think. This is an entirely new generation and it makes sense how different their interactions with horror are. Her seemingly flippant attitude or even excitement surrounding all of this is coming from someone that has historically been excluded from the horror genre. So, there’s some kind of grotesque reveling in it, but it’s also a bit of a coping mechanism because that takes an impressive level of compartmentalization. Idk, I think she’s an interesting character and I will always root for black queer folks to survive in horror films!

2023-06-19 17:03:07 +0000 UTCMy thought process to Chad still being alive went like this, started off thinking, what, he can't be alive, that's ridiculous, then I started thinking, well I didn't really want anyone from the main group to die, so maybe I'm alright with it, how many times did Dewey get stabbed, he got stabbed a lot, you know what, I'm fine with it, I guess Chad's the new Dewey, he's going to get stabbed in every movie. I also looked it up online to see if anyone had survived a crazy number of stabs and found an article about a person who had been stabbed over 30 times and nearly decapitated and still survived, so I guess it's not that crazy.
