Clark is a disappointment! He is still young and primarily only uses his powers selfishly to pretect those he cares about, and because he is too attached to his friends ha treats the inanimate AI program of his dead father's directive to teach and guide him as an all powerful living villain. He constantly disobeys him, then whennhe has to deal with the consequences ofbhisbselfishness he blames the lifeless voice of hisbdead father.

Season 9 is consistently the best season of the show and I cannot wait for it!

I think part of the problem is that the show can't decide what they want to "Jorel", in the fortress to be. In the comic books it's rather straight forward. The fortress is run by an AI, who merely emmulates Clark's birth parents, but at the end of the day, is a computer. He's not actually Jorel. Jorel is just a scientist who died on Krypton. But on Smallville the fortress Jorel is either a convenient villain, a cold computer, a chiding father figure or sometimes almost a God (sending Clark back in time for example). But I agree people need to remember that Jorel was a good person and ultimately loves his son.

I don't understand why people are so hard on Jorel. I do find Clark to be disappointing. If he would've listen to jorel from the beginning all the bad things that happened thus far could've been avoided. As children we think we have all the answers but our parents have been there done that, so maybe we should learn from them and be better.

Meteor infected was most of Chloe’s and Lois stories in highschool

Kristal Whalen

The meteor shower still happened because it was caused by krypton explosion so the meteor inflected still happens. Chole was still the editor of torch and her cousin got sent back to high school where she wrote a few papers for Chloe. Lois realized she like being a journalist and went out for the Daily planet. It’s never stated she’s the editor but it makes sense she writes for the paper w/o Clark being involved.

I’m ready for you to get to season 8

Regarding your question about Lex's glove, it's a reference to the comics. In classical canon, Lex Luthor wore a kryptonite ring to make him "untouchable" and safe from Superman. But the ring emitted radiation which gave Lex cancer and he had to have the hand amputated, so he wears a black glove over his prosthetic. The glove represents how power corrupts and has become of symbol of "evil Lex". I'm not fond of season 7, though I do I like this episode. The show was starting to feel tired and you really could see the impact of writer's strike. But I think/hope you'll enjoy where the show is going to go in following seasons.

they never said Lois was an editor ever at all. At least not in this episode.
