The school system in Toronto goes: elementary school from kindergarden to grade 8, then secondary or high school from grade 9 to grade 12. I think they wanted to move up with the characters but keep them together so instead of seperating them they blended and then just moved away from elementary later own.

2023-06-29 20:20:45 +0000 UTCalso, if you want to see what the cast looks like now...go to youtube and look up/watch drake's "im upset" music video. the theme of the video is essentially a degrassi high school reunion. most of the main cast comes back and appears in the video. degrassi fans lost their minds when the music video came out a few years ago lol. it was fun seeing everyone again as adults.

They were doing a reboot but it was just gonna be degrassi again on hbomax, but for some reason it was cancelled. I was actually excited but honestly, it was probably only gonna be a few episodes instead of thicc seasons, which is what i loved about it. Drake did a reunion music video so we did see them as adults a couple years ago.

She's filipino btw, but i assumed she was hispanic until a few years ago lol. I am hispanic and just projected that i guess. And there are no shows like this. The closest is sex education and heartbreak high, but those are netflix and only 8 episodes so it's hard loving the characters as hard as you will grow to love degrassi.

2023-06-28 06:09:24 +0000 UTCi like emma as she got older. she was definitely difficult in the beginning and while i don’t think that ever stops i just think she gets better to deal with. and yeah u will definitely love seeing them get older and go through high school. the first generation stays until i believe season 9 but they add in new characters i wanna say every season or at least most seasons and they’ll have characters in different grades. the middle school and high school become one and once these characters get out of middle school they don’t have any more characters in middle school.
