2023-07-09 13:57:57 +0000 UTCAlso remember a lot of the things you did not like about this season like certain character arcs being short changed stem from writers strike issue. But happy you liked it so much because typically this season ranks fairly low on most fans lists.

Main one is that the end of season 7 was contract renewal time after the end of the writers strike and she decided not to renew. She felt she had been playing Lana her whole adult life and wanted to change. And she was written out that way via video was because she was filming her first feature film I think it was called Partition.

2023-07-09 02:50:40 +0000 UTCKristen was filming a movie during a chunk of the season that’s why we had the coma. They hoped she would be able to be back for the finale to have a proper goodbye but filming ran longer on the movie.
