i love this episode a lot. they could have really sent a bad message if they'd gone about it a different way, and while i don't like the other girls being called like "fast" or whatever they said, i do think they genuinely tried to again show shawn wanting something more than what "he is" like there are girls out there like him, just like there are boys out there like him, who don't want something serious. but shawn wants more, and wants to be more. i think they could have been more careful in not painting the other girls in a bad light but i also get the story they wanted to tell and i appreciate it. for the 90s, while it's not perfect, it's still much better than what other things were portraying at this time. we see more and more as the show progresses what a good and genuine guy shawn hunter is. he's a sensitive soul, but wasn't raised to embrace or let that that side of him show. he's trying to discover that and i really enjoy his character growth.
