I'm guessing you didn't catch it/remember it. But in the series premiere Joey is going on the double date with Jen/Dawson and Bessy stops her to put lipstick on her. The song that is playing when this happens is the same song playing during this episode when Bessy stops her before graduation to put lipstick on her. Great call back I always loved.
