Yay!!! Power Rangers!!!! To answer your question, yes Power Rangers is based off of the Japanese TV Show called Super Sentai. The Super Sentai Counterpart for Dino Thunder is called Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger and it was just released on DVD to purchase. Also if you are interested in seeing what Super Sentai is like, there are several seasons streaming on Shout Factory TV which is an add on subscription that you can purchase on Amazon
