Izzie's part made me cry and I had to stop watching when Meredith was taking the lady off life support, knowing she's gonna have a breakdown later on. This show is not safe for work in a whole different way than usual.

2024-01-26 05:08:49 +0000 UTCoh i adore this episode! for so many reasons! i guess i'll start with meredith and her mom. i love that we see meredith's emotions over her mom more this episode. her breakdown was so genuine and real and i always cry seeing that scene. my heart breaks for her. i'm so glad we got the scene with izzy talking about her daughter. i think izzy as a character needed this storyline to kind of "grow her up a bit" to the audience. she always was hard for me to connect with. seeing this struggle and her bravery and maturity really helped me to empathize with her as a character. richard annoys me but i'm glad he can be there for ellis. if he's someone she gets comfort from, then at this point and stage of her illness that can only be a good thing. any thing that gives her that spark back as meredith says can only be helpful to her. i feel for meredith with her patient. she took an oath to heal and realizing and having to come to terms with this other side of things can't be easy. one of the many reasons i could never do this job!
