He directed the pilots of a majority of sitcoms in the 90s and 2000s including Friends, Will and Grace, Big Bang Theory and hundreds more. He also trained many of the other directors. He teamed up with the writers of Cheers on Taxi which made Danny DeVito (Carla’s real life husband) and Christopher Lloyd famous. Taxi ended the year before Cheers started.
