Awww Bangtan. I love these men, theres a special spot I have in my heart for BTS. They got me into KPOP and they will always be my number 1 group in that aspect.

2023-09-24 21:29:53 +0000 UTCyess to what angie said!! namjoon said they had to go back to the writing board. they did a run ep where fans could submit their favorite songs. bts all thought we'd say things like dynamite or butter. but when we said things like louder than bombs and black swan, they were genuinely shocked. namjoon said in an interview they had to meet with the higher ups and were like "hey, let's refocus" i am so excited to see what they'll come out with when they can all be to together again. their solo stuff has been incredible. i suggest yoongi's newest agust d album. it's phenomenal. hopefully they'll return to your interest someday and if not that's okay too!! but i do agree things were a bit "off" for a moment there.

2023-09-07 13:46:04 +0000 UTCi think they themselves admitted being a bit lost around that era. Which is why i dont feel too bad about not being into the newest music, but hopefully when they come back after military, they'll have fresh ideas and new music that feels more authentic.

But I’m interested in you looking into kpop more some of my favs are Mamamoo and BAP(sadly bap broke up). There are some artist that are Kpop adjacent like XG( newer group/ most of their songs are in English), DPR Live, and DPR Ian. Anyways there are a lot of groups so I don’t want to stress you out🤣.

2023-09-06 21:35:33 +0000 UTC*cracks knuckles* bts are a kpop group that debuted in 2013. they're a seven member group that started out living in a one-bedroom apartment together. because of this, they are truly a family and see one another as such. including their parents and siblings. it's made up of "rap line" and "vocal line" and "dance line" but they're all very diverse and can transcend among talents. they've lived together the last ten years but have now gotten their own homes and are branching out into solo work while they serve their mandatory enlistment period (approx 18 months i believe). they are still united as a group and each other's top support. they also have shows like a variety show, and documentaries as well as a show called "in the soop" and "bon voyage" which focuses on them on vacation and the familial aspect of the group. the oldest was about 18/19 when he joined, the youngest about 13/14 when he joined. in korea the oldest has senority and is almost a parental figure to the youngest. part of why bts is so beloved in their found family dynamic. but they are talented as all get out to boot! one of their songs "spring day" has been on the korea charts since it debuted years ago. they have a common storyline that runs through a collection of their songs/MVs that focuses on mental health, trauma, depression, violence, etc. their message is always one of hope. they've spoken at the UN more than once and at the white house as well for their message of self love and identity. they are very outspoken on social issues (women's rights, lgbt+ rights, gender identity, metal health, racial issues, etc.) and army (their fandom) is the same! we get a bad rep because there's a handful of awful fans out there but the amount of charity work that army has contributed in in bts' name is incredible. it's a fandom i'm proud to be a part of. bts also speak about their own mental health struggles as well. in korea, this is a no-no and one of the memeber's lyrics about SH is censored. he was given the option to not include that in the song at all, or have it censored. he chose to include it to encourage and remind others that things can and will be okay. their message is always one of hope and strength. they get very real and raw about the struggles they've been through, and i've never once see a group be so...like that. they haven't had it easy. again, they lived in that one bedroom apartment and had to literally beg people on the streets to come and attend their free concerts. they'd host fan meetings of 50-60 fans at the mall gathering together. one member even made little handwritten thank you letters to each fan that came. army has been on this journey with them over the years, and it's been a joy to watch them grow. and yes, if you couldn't tell from my comment, they're my autism special interest lol and i'll happily sputter away about them to anyone who lends me a ear to listen lol

2023-09-06 14:54:52 +0000 UTCblood sweat and tears is a favorite of mine but you need like a masters degree in philosophy to understand the symbolism! good thing there's like a 30min video some army did delving into what all everything means. if you ever want to watch the fan made documentary "intro to bts the seven members of bangtan" it shows you their history, rise to fame, and why they are what they are today 💜
