He thought he couldn’t lead as a blind alpha. Him killing Marco, is what made him realize killing a beta of your own, adds to your own power. So we can all thank Marco for the alpha pack 😂

They manipulated the stories to make them look like the good guy or the guy that didn’t nothing wrong. If you didn’t notice, the stories they told was very different from what we were shown in the flashbacks and the flashbacks are what really happened. For one it was all Peter’s idea to turn Paige. And for Gerard’s story, he ambushed Deucalion, not the other way around like he told Scott and Allison. That’s the biggest two lies told in the stories.
