I would also strongly recommend watching the crossover episode from SVU before watching the next Chicago PD episode. When my mother and I watched through the first time we missed the SVU episode and it was a shock going into the PD episode that followed. This is the crossover episode: SVU: Season 16, Episode 20 "Daydream Beliver"
