I agree with your thoughts on this. I felt that although Buffy didn't let him completely in when it comes to Joyce, she did give him everything she had. Even when Angel returned, she still made sure he knew who was her man in this episode in Riley. I also love how you broke down Buffy and Riley relationship. You can't force someone to rush to the finish line in how you think they should feel as what Riley felt Buffy should act and feel.
