Best way to think of Athena is as the Goddess of Wisdom and Battle Strategy, while Aries is the God of War. As for capture the flag, there were 2 teams where 2 cabins are selected as team leads and they make deals to partner with other cabins to be on their teams. Always a Hades fan, but when reading these books I always found it frustrating that everyone just craps on Hades because he is the god of the Underworld (a job forced on him by Zues) so they act like he is the shadiest, least trustworthy yet he is the only 1 of the big 3 who did not break the pact.

The pact that Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon took was because there was a war back in the day where it was pretty much Hades kids vs Zeus/ Poseidons kids with some mortals so before the pact the 3 of them had a bunch of kids. Hermes house is for kids who are Hermes kids and the unclaimed.
