i can't help but think this is a lot of pressure on rory! her mom has had this plan mapped out since rory was like three lol i remember in middle school they tried to make us think about colleges and it was like "we are literally 12 lol" i'm glad rory seems on board but i can't imagine my mom mapping out all my education plans from so early on

2024-03-25 05:13:07 +0000 UTCi love this episode so much! it’s up there in the most memorable of the entire series, in my opinion. lorelai and rory’s relationship is the cutest thing ever, and lorelai is so proud of her. i think lorelai is beginning to see that, even though she didn’t have the college experience rory is working for, she was able to set her daughter up to have the very best. that’s all she wants for her. i never totally understood why the writers chose to not include a scene of lorelai and max breaking up, but, you’re right—it did happen off camera. we’re just supposed to assume that max is aware of the wedding being cancelled, so lorelai didn’t go on the trip with him still thinking they were together. i love that last scene with luke and lorelai. “think i can hack being a business owner?” “i think you can hack anything.” 🥹🥹
