When calc'ing the time gaps, don't forget the 2 years between end of Originals and start of Legacies. So there was a 7 year time jump between seasons 3 and 5, and then Legacies picks up with an orphaned Hope 2 years after the deaths of Klaus and Hayley. So that's why Lizzie mentioned that Hope has made them feel like they don't matter for the past 10 years. She was kinda rounding up.
