Connecting to Ancestors - Bath Recipe

Good morning moon babes. 🤍 Ancestor Bath won the poll! Don't worry though, I will still write out and share the protection bath ( tbh I am most likley going to make a bunch of ancestor and protection themed baths because you can never do enough of those workings!

This is a bath I like to do when I want to connect deeper to my ancestors ancestors (or if soneone new is presenting themselves and I want to learn more/ connect more with them) or if there's a message I feel like I'm missing. This bath will lead me to the answers.

What You Need

- Purple candle

- Kanaga Water

- Rose Water

- Holy Water

- Florida Water

- Mullein

- Sweet Tobacco (or sweet tobacco leaf) If you have troubles finding this herb I find it easy to find tobacco leafs from cigar grotto!

- Lavender

- Rose 

- Star Anise

- Hibiscus

- Rosemary

- Yarrow

- Ancestor Money

- Plantain

- Dandelion Root

- Moonlight and Sage Ancestor Oil 

- Moonlight and Sage Protection Oil 

- Fresh white flowers

What to Do

- Start by spiritually cleansing your space, yourself, your altar, your tools, your bath, and bathroom.

- The purple candle is for spirituality and enlightenment. Scribe either your last name or the name of the ancestor you want to reach out to. Dress the candle with similar herbs as you did for the bath. Sit with the candle and herb mix, and meditate with it. I like leaving it on my altar for a few nights to charge.

- Activate your herbs with the purpose of gaining insight. If you are putting herbs in a sachet, use a purple or white sachet. Meditate in the tub. After you're done, do divination with your spirits. If you are doing this to gain spiritual insight into your ancestors, this needs to be done in a ritualistic manner. I like to do this bath three days in a row however feel free to interchange this with whatever number you and your ancestors connect with the most. I find that doing this bath more than once is best but do it consecutively. Divine in the bathtub if you trust yourself not to drop cards but otherwise wait until you're out of the tub.

- Take your bath, then offerings. I like doing offerings after taking the bath, the offerings are there to both boost your connection with spirit and aid in them sending messages your way. Remember, it takes energy from your spirits to get you a message to you!  Layout the offerings to aid in your ancestors coming through ( put down whatever you know they like the most.)  Offerings are very personal to each practitioner, however, for ancestor work I recommend some sort of alcohol or smoke (tobacco, weed, etc). Other offerings that are widely accepted by most spirits is alcohol, tobacco, herbs, crystals, stones, flowers or a bouquet, coffee, tea, dancing, time spent at the altar, or giving up something that means a lot to you. If you are going to be giving somthing up as an offering remember to give it a time frame, unless you are ready to stop doing that thing all together forever.

**Remember you can 100% replace any items for whatever fits your practice better**

I hope some of you guys try this bath out and it helps build a stronger connection with yur ancestors. I know this can feel like a daunting task for some of us if we do not know orur lineage well, but you'll see after some time spent working you'll find out so much about them!
